Hi there! I’m Zoë, the founder of Monty’s Bags which is a female-founded Canadian based poop bag brand launched in 2021.

Monty’s Bags was inspired by my English Bulldog, Monty, and a desire to offer a better alternative to conventional plastic poop bags, which can remain in the environment for centuries. Our certified compostable bags are made from plant-based materials, including cornstarch, PLA and PBAT, and are designed to break down in just 3–6 months.

Today, we’re focused entirely on helping pet parents ditch plastic with practical poop bag solutions for every kind of household. With different bag sizes, box quantities and bulk formats, there’s an option whether you have a puppy, one dog, multiple dogs or an entire pack to clean up after.

We sadly lost Monty in 2026, but his memory remains at the heart of everything we do. His face appears on every roll we sell, allowing his legacy to continue with every walk and every plastic bag replaced. Penelope and Max are still important members of the Monty’s Bags family and regularly make appearances on our social media.
